Publishing & custom domains
Give people a live address for your app, then publish updates as it grows.
Before you publish
Review the preview, test the main flows, and replace placeholder content. If the app uses sign-in, payments, or shared data, complete those integrations and verify the permissions.
In a shared workspace, publishing also depends on your role and the workspace’s publishing policy.
Publish to a Bump subdomain
Publishing on a Bump subdomain is included on Free, Solo, and Team.
- 1
Open Publish
Select Publish in the builder’s top bar.
- 2
Review the destination and access
Check the app address and the visibility options available for your project.
- 3
Deploy the app
Use the deploy action and wait for it to finish. If deployment fails, review the error before trying again.
- 4
Open the live link
Test the published address in a separate browser window, including the sign-in and data flows your app uses.
Connect your own domain
Solo includes 1 custom domain and Team includes 10 custom domains. You need a domain you own and access to its DNS settings.
Open the custom-domain controls in the publishing flow, add the domain, and follow the exact DNS instructions shown. Wait for verification and certificate setup before treating the address as ready. Domain registration is separate from your Bump AI plan.
Check who can open the app
Workspace membership, project collaboration, and access to the published website are separate. Check the publishing visibility options and test the live address as an intended visitor.
If the app itself contains private customer data, it also needs its own authentication and data permissions. Hiding a button in the interface does not protect the underlying data.
Publish updates
Return to the project, make changes, and review the preview. Publish again to release the new version, then verify the live URL. If you restore an earlier checkpoint, check the restored app before publishing that version.
